Girl Guides Set For Hong Kong Camp

Seven girls and three teachers have been chosen to represent Fiji at the Centenary International Camp in Hong Kong.
This Centenary International Camp is organised by the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association (HKGGA) which they are celebrating their centenary.
The Centenary International Camp is held from December 23 to December 27 at the Yuen Tun Camp, Tsing Lung Tau in Hong Kong.
Miriama Hawea is one of the three teachers who are leading the team to Hong Kong.
Ms Hawea said: “We are happy to represent Fiji at the Centenary International Camp in Hong Kong.”
“The Fiji Girl Guides Association was invited to attend the Centenary International Camp in Hong Kong and Fiji Girl Guides chose us to represent Fiji in Hong Kong.
“It is a self-funded trip,” she said.
Ms Hawea said Girl Guides from all over the globe will participate at the Camp, and they are to learn from them and their culture.
“Whatever we will learn in Hong Kong, at the camp, we will bring that and discuss it with other members of the Fiji Girl Guides Association,” she said.
The seven girls and teachers are from the Davuilevu Methodist Primary School and one teacher from Nuku District School
They will depart for Hong Kong next week.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Girl Guides Association presented their iTatau to the Ministry of Education yesterday.
