Man Admits Threat To His Father

A 23-year-old man charged for a count each of criminal intimidation, indecently annoying a person and damaging property will be sentenced today.
Rohit Sami pleaded guilty for demanding money from his father after coming home drunk and when his father refused to give him money and told him to leave his premises, he swore at his father and damaged a door glass.
The matter was called before Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne during a special court sitting at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.
Sami pleaded guilty to all the charges and informed the court that he only asked his father for money because he was robbed and wanted to attend a company party.
Police prosecutor Corporal Josua Shaw served full phase disclosures.
Sami has been remanded in custody for his sentencing.
