MHCC Celebrates Nine Years Of Success

It was a nine-year birthday bash like no other.
Branded as The Meeting Point, Morris Hedstrom City Centre (MHCC), yesterday lived up to its motto as customers and the general public flocked to the downtown mall.
They were treated to entertainment, food and drinks topped up and sharing of the Christmas spirit.
Since 2007, MHCC has grown to include different stores, and a variety of foods and stalls.
Carpenters Fiji Limited retail and marketing director, Kunaseelan Sabaratnam said after nine years of existence, MHCC had partnered with some of the world-renowned brands.
Mr Sabaratnam said the food court, which was situated on the second floor of the multi-storey complex, was a great success for the city mall concept.“We have one of the best food courts. Others have tried to follow us but we have a great variety of food range and that is one great success for us which will be repeated in other outlets in Fiji,” Mr Sabaratnam said.
“When we opened in 2007, the people of Fiji saw the first shopping mall.
“It has been nine years and we have never turned back.”
The mall, he said, housed Vodafone Fiji Limited’s biggest retail outlet and there were other shops as well besides the major supermarket that attracted customers.
And customers were the reason they still existed today, he added.
“Our customers who have always been there, constantly supporting us.
“They will always come here because they know they will always get everything under one roof.”
