Three Arrested In Savusavu Drug Raid

Three people spent their long weekend at Savusavu Police Station following an arrests during a drug operation.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the three men continued to be questioned.
“The arrest was in line with the crackdown on drugs as we are aware that people will try ways of making quick money through illegal means,” Ms Naisoro said.
“On last Saturday around 10am at Savusavu Town, Police arrested a 20-year-old farmer for being found in possession of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
“And later on the same day a 25-year-old farmer of Savusavu was arrested being found in possession of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
“And again a 28-year-old farmer was found for being found in possession of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.”
Ms Naisoro said the Police would continue with their special operation during this festival season.
