Board To Discuss Coach Appointment
The announcement of the new Vodafone national football coach is expected to be made after Fiji Football Association president, Rajesh Patel arrives into the country today.
Patel was in Singapore attending a FIFA congress and national team director and vice- president Tarunesh Reddy confirmed to SUNsports yesterday that as soon as Patel arrives into the country a Board of Control meeting will be held to discuss the appointment.
“At the moment, we are waiting for Rajesh to arrive,” Reddy said.
Slovenian coach Ivo Sajh- Scheich confirmed to SUNsports that OFC’s Patrick Jacquemet has informed him that he has missed out.
“I don’t know the reason why because all I can say is that I’m a certified PRO Licensed Coach,” he said.
Reddy said he cannot make any other comment regarding the coach or the applicants.
