2016 A Good Year For Suva Retailers Association: Reddy

The Suva Retailers Association has regarded 2016 as a ‘good year’ despite several setbacks like Tropical Cyclone Winston.
This was highlighted by Association secretary Selva Reddy during their Christmas cocktail event at the Tanoa Hotel Plaza in Suva last night.
Mr Reddy said although the year had its tough challenges, he was happy with their performance overall.
“We’ve had an influx of membership this year due to Suva on Sale and that has connected all the retailers together,” said Mr Reddy.
The Christmas cocktail was hosted by Telecom Fiji Limited Group.
TFL Group chief executive officer Mothilal De Silva said they supported the association as it was one of their key corporate customers.
“We thought of putting together this event just to recognise and appreciate the partnership we have with the corporate sector,” said Mr De Silva.
Members
Prominent Suva business people, who are members of the Association attended the event culminating the success of another business year.
Mr Reddy said the Association currently had over 100 financial members and would be expected to be hold their annual general meeting early next year.
This, he said, was to formulate the future plans for the association.
Mr Reddy also acknowledged the support throughout the year of the Ministry of Local Government, Suva City Council, Fiji Roads, National Fire Authority among other stakeholders.
