Six students graduated yesterday from the Fiji National University (FNU) with a Certificate of Attainment in the Japanese Language and Culture.

Yesterday, graduates at the FNU National Training and Productivity Centre (NTPC) Department of Hospitality and Tourism graduation ceremony at the FNU Nadi Campus were two more than the first semester graduation.

“In semester one we had four students graduate and this semester we have 6 graduates, so that is a good sign,” said FNU Training Assistant and co-ordinator for the Japanese programme Jenny Ram.

“We are already getting enrollments in and we have already enrolled 5 students for our next semester which starts on February 6 next year.

“I feel happy and excited for our Fijians as it is a privilege to see them graduate.”

One of the graduates from the Japanese Language and Culture disciplines, 21-year-old Laite Rale Ratu, says it was a privilege learning another culture apart from her iTaukei culture.

Japanese Language and Culture Graduates are Laite Rale Ratu, Pauliasi Tokalau, Sainiana Regu, Inosi Vunitabua Ravouvou, Anndy Levy, and Alivereti Junior Nasokia
