Radrodro Named Nadroga’s Best

Vodafone Flying Fijians No.8 Eremasi Radrodro was named rugby player of 2016 during the Nadroga Rugby awards night at the Shangri La Fijian Resort and Spa on Tuesday.
The Batiki, Lomaiviti native was also named player of the year last year and deserves to retain the title after playing a huge role in the Stallions campaign this season assisting Nadroga to retain the Skipper Cup and HFC Farebrother Challenge Series.
Radrodro was also named the Skipper Cup player of the year.
Radrodro who have maternal links to Rararua, Nadroga was humbled to be named the Stallions’ best player.
“This is the second time I’m receiving the player of the year award and I want to thank God for giving me the strength,”he said.
“This year was tough as there were a lot of hurdles we went through it together as a team.
“This season was really tough especially when I’ve work commitment and training and it involves travelling, it was very challenging for me.
“We are so grateful to have a coach like Esala Nauga who believes in the players.
“He doesn’t go for prominent names as long as you prove your dedication and commitment during training, you deserve to be in the Nadroga squad.”
The 28-year old policeman will stay on with Nadroga in the new season.
“If I get an overseas contract then I will move otherwise I will stay on with Nadroga.”
