A massive landslide on the island of Qamea, just off Taveuni Island, has left villagers of Dreketi dismayed.

Lusia Wakoloilagi of Dreketi Village told Fiji Sun yesterday that at least 20 buildings were destroyed, homes upended, the school destroyed and the health centre pushed out to sea.

Fearing that more landslides could take place as the heavy rain continues, the villagers have sought refuge at communities nearby.
