$13K equipment for schools from Total

Total (Fiji) has assisted 42 schools with $13, 000 worth of equipment used for crossing.
Loll Lollipop signs, reflectors, cones and sign boards used while crossing were some of the equipments donated at Total Office in Walu Bay yesterday.
Managing director Martin McCarthy has handed over this donation to the Land Transport Authority Road Safety and Education manager Veronica Malani.
He said this will help the various schools
Mr McCarthy said total has a worldwide initiative with the global road safety projects.
“We carry out such initiatives in almost all the countries and I know this will help the teachers and the school children as well,” Mr McCarthy said.
“This teaches and trains students a lot about road safety.”
Ms Malani while receiving the equipment thanked Total for the initiative.
She said Total would be working closely in this project with LTA in the coming years.
“There is nothing more precious than the life of a child,” he said.
Total has been supporting this initiative from 2013.
