Road Damage Bill $8.59m: Tuifagalele

The Fiji Roads Authority has assessed road damage around the country caused by TD04F at $8.59 million.
National Disaster Management Office director Akapusi Tuifagalele revealed this during a press conference at their office in Suva yesterday.
Mr Tuifagalele said a team of Government officials had been deployed on Qamea Island and they would be able to compile a report once the survey was completed.
He said Fiji Electricity Authority damage was a nominal $250,000, Water Authority of Fiji a preliminary damage cost of $1.8 million and the agriculture sector to continue its damage assessment.
Mr Tuifagalele said the number of evacuation centres around the country was 119 which shelter 2327 evacuees..
