Originally from Matuku Lau, Josateki Colati is a familiar face at the Suva market.

Mr Colati 36, is a wheelbarrow boy and for him business has been great during this festive season.

“I make about $100 a day depending on what people are willingly to pay,” he said.

His services for delivering goods can fetch up to $30-$60 a trip.

The father of three supports his children with what he earns.

He lives in Cunningham and will celebrate Christmas with his family.

For Vikash Prasad of Mead road, Suva selling of colourful balloons is an extra job he usually does only during the Christmas week.

“I make about $50 on a good day if it’s not raining and the balloons fetch $2 each,” said the father of one.

Mr Prasad and his wife operate a canteen at Holy Trinity Anglican School in Suva as well.

The family will be celebrating Christmas with his family at home.
