It was a proud moment for Fiji Police Force Accountant Kamlesh Chand when he graduated on Wednesday.

Mr Chand graduated with an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the Fiji National University that took three years to complete.

“When you’re working and studying on that level there’s a lot of constraints but you need to mobilise your time well,” he said.

He said it was a challenge but it required a lot of commitment and discipline.

Mr Chand attributes his achievement to his family especially his wife, Sunita Devi and 75-year-old mother, Vimla Wati who has played a huge role in his life.

The Rewa native was also emotional when talking about his dad, a former military officer who became blind when he was in young.

He has been a civil servant for the past 24 years and has served in various government ministries. His been with the Force for the past four years.

His advice to youths out there is to grab any opportunity available now and never to look back.

Education is very important now.

The father of six lives with his wife at Koronivia and is based at the Fiji Police Force headquarters, Suva.

Seven other senior Police officers also graduated with him at the FNU Graduation held at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
