Chairman of Investment Fiji, Truman Bradley says everyone was a winner during the 2016 Westpac Prime Minister’s International Business Awards.

Mr Bradley says IBA is more than just rewarding businesses for their hard work.

“It’s about setting a benchmark that all businesses must aspire to achieve for a successful venture,” he said.

“It’s about encouraging our important private sector and giving them an extra incentive to work hard and of course it is about saying “thank you” to businesses who have shown great deal of resiliency, innovation and hard work.”

The Chairman thanked the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed- Khaiyum, for his presence.

This, he says, sends a strong signal to the ever so important private sector that one of the highest and most esteemed offices in the country pays respect to the contribution of our hardworking exporters.

“We started with the exporter of the year at a time when we had a very small focus on what we were trying to achieve but now going forward, we are trying to broaden that focus,” Mr Bradley said.

“This shows the growth of Fijian market and opportunities that we have.”
