Burglary victim, Gymnastics Fiji Head Coach Robert Yeal, says “all my work is gone.”

His house at Pacific Harbour was burgled on Wednesday night at about 10.30pm.

Mr Yeal said he had lost valuable items worth $9000.

According to him, the robbers were armed with a wooden plank.

“My Black Acer Lap top stolen, my Samsung phone, speakers,  a Vido tablet belonging to my friend James Young and his wallet with BSP and Natwest Cards in it,” he said.

Mr Yeal is living with his friend James Young.

He has been working on the training programmes for the gymnastic national competitions next year and all his work was in his laptop.

“For goodness sake! I am very upset and frustrated,” he said.

“The house is completely in a mess and it’s sickening.”

While speaking with the Fiji Sun, he said one thing he could not understand was when his dogs were barking, as mentioned by his neighbours, no one in the area did anything.

“Our dogs don’t bark at anything because we train them,” he said.

“Our dogs were barking and barking last night and I did not understand why no one came and checked it out.

“We can’t even do anything right now and we can’t touch anything until the Police do their job,” he said.

Mr Yeal acknowledged the quick response from the Police who arrived at the scene soon after he called them.

Police are investigating.
