Players Impress Savou
Fijian Barbarians 7s coach Josateki Savou commended the effort of the 15 member squad during the last week of training at Uprising Beach Resort.
Despite the limited preparation time, Savou was impressed with the test results.
“The players responded well even though we just had two weeks to prepare. The players gave their best and I’m impressed with their fitness results,” Savou said.
“The Sudamerica Rugby 7s tournament will not be easy but the players have shown confidence and now we are just working on few areas before we depart for Argentina,” Savou said.
Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor confirmed the final names of 12 member squad will be released today.
“The names will be released when all travel documents have been confirmed,” O’Connor said.
