Rewa Football Association is working around the clock to secure three Brazilian players to feature in the 2017 OFC Champions League campaign.

Defender Diego Maximo, midfielder Marcelo and striker Pepeta all played for Vanuatu’s Amicale FC last season.

Coach Marika Rodu confirmed yesterday they were processing the paperwork required by the Department of Immigration.

“That talks are underway and processing of their paperwork is in progress,” Rodu said.

“We want their visa documents (short stay working visa) for professional players to be in order.”

He said Rewa Football executives have watched the videos of the three players.

Rodu added having three Brazilian players will boost the morale of the Delta Tigers.

“They will definitely boost the morale of the team. We will be building the team around them but first of all will see how they are.

Amicale FC President Andrew Leong early this week wished the three players all the best in OFC Champions League outings.

“I want to wish the three players all the best in the OFC Champions League competition in Tahiti.” Leong told VanuatuFoot.

“After their duty with Rewa, the three players will come to play for Amicale in Vanuatu.” he said.

Rewa is in Pool D with AS Tefana (Tahiti), Erakor Golden Star (Vanuatu) and Marist Fire (Solomon Islands).

The OFC is scheduled in Pirae, Tahiti from March 11–18.
