The 24-year-old delivered a 3.3 kilogram baby girl at 1:30am yesterday in the Anderson Maternity Ward at the Colonial War Memorial (CWM) Hospital in Suva.
“I am so excited and blessed to give birth to my second child on the New Year’s Day,” Ms Vasuinuba said.
“My daughter is the best New Year gift for my family.”
Ms Vasuinuba said she could not wait to be discharged from the hospital so that she could celebrate this joy with her family members back in Nakalawaca Village in Tailevu.
“My family members are so happy after they received the news that I have given birth to a baby girl,” she said.
“When I spoke with my four-year-old son this morning he was so excited and told me to say hello to his baby sister,” she said.
