Table Tennis Clinic Now Underway

The Fiji Table Tennis Association’s school holiday clinic got underway at the National Table Tennis Centre in Suva yesterday.
Association president Anthony Ho said the clinic is for beginners.
“It is a five- day training camp,” he said.
“One is for beginners and people with disabilities and it is run by our development officers. The other is a high level training camp with our top young players aged mainly 10 to 17 years and some senior national squad members.”
Ho said the 2017 Fiji Open and Para Open will start on January 10 and they are still receiving entries for the competition.
“It is expected to have all our top players either cadet or juniors attending. The event forms part of our selection criteria for our national under-12, under-15, under-18, senior squads as well as our para squads. We are also expecting some top overseas players. Top Pacific player, Yoshua Shing is already in the country while a top under-15 and senior player from Australia have already been confirmed.”
Ho said they are hoping that more beginners would turn up for the remaining days.
