Fiji National Provident Fund manager internal audit Ajay Nand is Fiji’s new Auditor-General.
Mr Nand will assume his office on 16 January.
He signed his contract yesterday for his role as Auditor-General.
He was FNPF’s manager Internal Audit since 2007. Prior to this, he was with the Office of the Auditor-General for 20 years. Here, he started as an assistant examiner of accounts and rose to the ranks of director before leaving to join the FNPF.
Mr Nand’s family includes his mum Kewla Wati, wife Sangeeta and three teenage children.
He is a former President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Fiji.
He replaces Tevita Bolanavanua, who resigned from his post in 2013.
