Flour Mills of Fiji (FMF) has made healthy eating its top priority this New Year.

And what better way to prove this, then with the launch of the 10kg Roti Flour pack.

FMF Group marketing manager Poonam Kritika said because of the demand for roti flour, there was a need to offer a greater variety to suit customers’ needs.

Ms Kritika said they had launched the 4kg flour early last year and a few months later they made purchasing convenient by launching the 2kg flour.

“People started looking for Roti flour in this pack size which now has FMF launching roti flour in 10kg, enough for the whole family. This means greater options for the customer and even more delicious roti,” Ms Kritika said.

She said because of the high use of flour in meals, it was imperative to make some wise choices about flour.

“Roti flour is a special blend of flour which is taken before everything is fully refined into normal flour,” Ms Kritika said.

“This flour blend was made for those who used to buy different types of flour and blend it to make their own to provide for their need of fibre in their diet.

Ms Kritika said the roti flour was rich in fibre.

“Not only that, roti flour has important nutrients and iron for the body,” she added.

“There is no need to sieve this flour, as this helps it better retain that fibre.”

Ms Kritika said FMF had since 1973, provided households with a variety of food of which flour was one of the major household.
