Oz Donation For Saru

The Dubbo Cyms Rugby League Club of New South Wales, Australia, donated sports gears and training equipment to the children of Saru Village in Lautoka yesterday.
Team director Josh Large said this was an initiative to show their appreciation towards the Fiji National Rugby League.
“We had some Fijian players playing for us in Australia so we thought of showing our appreciation by bringing some sports gear to Saru Village,”Large said.
“We had really great Fijian players who played for Dubbo Cyms Club.”
Large said he wanted Fijian players to get exposure to rugby league in Australia.
“We would like to continue to bring more Fijian players to play for our team,”he said.
“This would give them some exposure in the National Rugby League (NRL),” he said.
FNRL development officer (western) Lagilagi Golea said this was one of the well organized clubs in the Group Nine competitions in Australian.
He said there were many players who made a mark playing from Saru.
“Players like Ilisoni Vono, Viliame Cagibula and some of the former Vodafone Fijian Bati players started their rugby journey from Saru,” he said.
“The children were very happy and motivated to play rugby league by the donation which they received from the Dubbo Cyms Rugby League Club,” he said.
