Communication, Defence Letdown

Vodafone Fijian 7s skipper Osea Kolinisau admits they need to communicate better in the second leg of the World Sevens Series in Wellington on January 28-29.
The, Komo, Lau, native said defence also let them down in the first leg of the 2016/2017 in Dubai-Cape Town.
“It’s been really tough especially coming back from the festive season break,” Kolinisau said.
“But I’m happy to see the boys all back and working really hard as they definitely want to do better after the first leg.”
Fiji is currently in third position on 32 points behind England 39 and South Africa 41
“Communication and our defence let us down in Dubai and Cape Town.
“We missed a lot of tackles in the first round and are working on getting our defence into shape,” he said.
Kolinisau has been representing Fiji since 2008 having played 255 games for Fiji. He believes in improving his performance continously.
“I’m always trying to improve my game and also trying to get the boys to prepare well for this next leg.”
Kolinisau is excited to have series leaders South Africa in the same pool. Fiji is grouped alongside South Africa, Australia and Japan in Pool B in Wellington.
“It’s a tough challenge but we are happy with South Africa, it gives us an opportunity to test ourselves and a chance to see if we have improved from the first leg.
“We come to training with one goal and that is to win the tournament,” Kolinisau said.
He played 255 matches with the Vodafone Fijian 7s team since 2008, scored 1103 points, scored 111 tries and kicked 274 conversions.
Kolinisau has copped only five yellow cards.
