Suliasi Uluilakeba of Baravi Talei kei Nawaimalua band will also join concert

 

The famous boy band Waikatakata Vure launched their seventh and eighth albums yesterday at the Labasa Civic Centre.

“We are so happy to have launched these albums at our hometown and to perform for our people,” band leader, Maciu Salauca said.

“This is our Northern tour launch and it is always good to be back home.”

Mr Salauca said the two albums combined had more than 20 songs.

“The seventh album is titled Noqu Daulomani and the eighth Salusalu. The seventh album has 12 songs and there are 10 for the eighth,” he said.

For people who love the Fijian song Sudaiya by Suliasi Uluilakeba will have the chance to hear him sing it live.

Mr Uluilakeba, who is a member of Baravi Talei kei Nawaimalua band, also accompanied the group.

Fans in the North have been looking forward to the event since they heard of their planned concert.

Osea Lesinaivalu said: “I have always listened to their music and I am a big fan, I am so excited now that they have confirmed their performance.”

The band arrived in Labasa on Wednesday.
