Eyeing Flying Fijians Prop

The Telecom Fijian Warriors prop Kalivati Tawake aims for a spot in the Vodafone Flying Fijians squad.
The Nacula, Yasawa native is part of the Telecom Fijian Warriors extended squad to prepare for the 2017 Pacific Rugby Cup which will be held in Suva on March 10-18.
The 27-year old played for Warriors during the Uruguay tour last year and believes there is more work to be done as he prepares for the new season.
“Last year I made my debut for the Fijian Warriors in Uruguay and it was a good learning experience for me playing alongside senior players and also the coaching staff taught a lot of new skills.
“My aim this year is to prove myself and try to book a spot in the Flying Fijians squad looking ahead to the 2019 RWC,” Tawake said.
The tight-head prop knows the competition within the team will be tough and is ready to step up.
“I want to thank my Army club for their support towards my career and also my family, my parents, my wife and two children,” he said.
He played for Lautoka in 2007-2013 before joining Suva in 2015.
