Taliga, Ravouvou In Squad
Olympians Kitione Taliga and Vatemo Ravouvou are still part of the Vodafone Fijian 7s squad preparing for the second leg of the World Sevens Series in Wellington and Sydney.
The Wellington 7s will be held on January 28-29 and Sydney 7s will be held on February 3-4.
The duo were not in camp at the Uprising Beach Resort in the last few days. Team manager Jone Niurua confirmed they were still in the squad and expected to join next week.
“We have had discussions with the two players, they have their own reasons,”he said.
“They are still in the squad and should join camp next week.”
The players returned to camp on Monday. Head coach Gareth Baber earlier stated his aim was to prepare the best for this leg.
“We are working on getting ourselves in position to win games. I will concentrate on our games and be the best team we can be,” Baber added.
The Fijians are grouped alongside South Africa, Australia and Japan.
