South Sea Cruises hosted their Chinese industry partners to a movie at Life Cinema in Nadi yesterday.

This included the Chinese staff from E and local agents around Nadi.

South Sea Cruises media sales executive Sanjeshni Nand said: “We organised a movie invite to thank them and this is also considered as a pre-celebration for Chinese New Year.

“This is an important event for us. We know based on the provisional visitor arrivals to Fiji in 2016 that there has been an increase of visitors arriving from China and rest of Asia.”

She added the industry partners helped them in getting new business which also included the recent incentive group from China who enjoyed the full day cruises to South Sea Island.

Also the company’s sales manager Lailani Burnes said: “We want to thank our China industry partners who enjoy our products themselves and direct them to us.

“We ensure that they are updated regularly for our products on offer and want to continue building on this relationship we have with them.”

Ms Burnes added they informed guests of our various products mostly enjoyed by the Chinese visitors such as the Ultimate Encounter Snorkel with the Sharks day cruise and Seaspray Day Sailing Adventure and other such day cruise options.

“We already have noticed an increase of interests from visitors from Asia market enjoying our various cruise and day trip options,” she said.

Blue Pacific Holiday and Tours general manager Henry Hua said: “It is quite convincing to be part of the event like this as South Seas Cruises value our contribution.”

Mr Hua said since opening his company in 2012 has been very cooperative with each other with guests opting for their tours mostly in the cruising sectors.

Meanwhile, there were 70 invited guests who attended the event apart from the South Sea Cruises sales staff, Cruise Centre and the management staff.
