Bogidrau: Locals to Officiate In Series

Three local netball officials will officiate at the Digicel Punjas International Youth Netball Series at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
This was confirmed yesterday by Fiji Netball president Wainikiti Bogidrau.
She told SUNsports the officials are, Jona Saturu, Moape Ravudolo and Litia Rabitu.
They are going to work with overseas official, Tara Warner from Australia, Gareth Fowler of New Zealand and Cook Islands’ Teautoa Vai Peua.
“The bench officials are all local and they will be led by Oceania accredited bench official and trainer Ruci Camaitoga. They will be responsible for all the technical details related to the games inclusive of scoring, statistics and so on.
“The competition manager is a local- Vivian Koster, we continue to up skill and build capacity around more Fijians to take on this role.
“Hosting the event is a great way to kick start the New Year for Netball Fiji. We are confident that together with key stakeholders inclusive of sponsors that we will be able to host a successful Digicel Punjas International Youth Netball Series.
“The fact that both the powerhouses of netball are here is evident that they are confident of our ability to host this event as we provide all teams the much-needed experience as we build-up for the World Youth Cup in July,” Bogidrau said.
“We hope that all netball lovers will be at the series to cheer the girls and watch brilliant netball.
“Most of the players from these teams will go on to represent their national teams so we have with us future Silver Ferns, future Diamonds, future Pearls and future Samoan reps.”
Bogidrau said this would be a great event to watch and she is urging all netball lovers to join them in the fun.
