Kiran Hotel in Martintar, Nadi is undergoing a major development to extend its building structures.

Kiran Palace Motel and Backpackers managing director Ben Krishna confirmed the project is worth $750,000 and had started two weeks ago.

This will be an extension of three more storeys with 12 rooms, a swimming pool, fitness centre and a pool side buffet set up.

“We hope to end before the Easter weekend including the pool size to be 14 by four metres, and will be two metres deep.

“2015 was the beginning, 2016 was the best year for me and hoping the best for this year,” he said.

Mr Krishna added the wet weather had been the problem in the past couple of days which had caused minor delays.

He had acquired the $1.2 million property in February 2015 and has done major upgrades to suit the current trend.

“Our main focus is to ensure that our customers are given the best service and more so in a professional manner,” he said.

He said he had been to some parts of the world and stayed at various hotels with top services, but there was always something unique about Fiji.

Mr Krishna is also a boxing promoter under the Kiran boxing promotions and one of his niche markets is the overseas boxers team.

The team will need the services such as accommodation during their stay in the country.

Meanwhile, he also revealed a plan for fitness centres to be set up in various areas such as Korovuto, Mulomulo, Lautoka City, Ba, Tavua, and Rakiraki.
