36-Year-Old Officer To Practise In Multi-Settings
A senior labour officer who travelled from Vanua Levu will be able to apply his newfound skills in mediation in a multi-setting.
Apenisa Naceba, 36, said the skills he acquired were not only applicable for his work situation.
“This is an important aspect not only applied at the work place; it can also be applied at homes and in our communities that we come from in terms of managing conflicts,” Mr Naceba said.
Mr Naceba attended the Managing Conflicts and Resolving Disputes Effectively through Mediation workshop recently at the Holiday Inn Suva.
The workshop was organised by the Singapore Mediation Centre and the facilitators from the Singapore conducted the workshop.
“I am so happy to receive this Certificate of Participation from the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Jone Usamate,” Mr Naceba said.
“Mediation service is really important especially getting to be accredited by an organisation that is leading the mediation service.”
Mr Naceba said he has been working for the Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations for the last 16 years.
