Paula Dranisinukula knows that making the team to the second leg of the World Sevens Series later this month will be tough.

The 27 year-old Navuniivi, Navitilevu, Ra native made the comment while sweating it out at the sand dunes in Sigatoka yesterday.

“Training at the sand dunes is tough,”he said.

“And it was even tougher training with those who have donned the national jumper before.

“But I’m prepared to do the hard yards with Nemani Nagusa, Apisai Domolailai, Jasa Veremalua, Osea Kolinisau and Setareki Bituniyata and others.

“Although it is a new environment for me, I’ve accustomed to it with the help of my teammates.”

He said training on the dunes was not new to him since he was part of the BLK Nadroga and Daveta teams.

“I know the benefit of training in the dunes, it’s nothing new to me.

“Training under Coach Gareth Baber is too good. He enforces that we know our basics first during training.”
