Rep Happy To Be Certified Moderator

The lone representative from the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation was glad to attend the two-day workshop for Managing Conflicts and Resolving Disputes Effectively through Mediation.
“I found this workshop really interesting because I learnt how to deal with issues and manage conflict within our own ministry,” said 25-year-old Aileen Sefeti.
Ms Sefeti was one of the 21 participants who were certified at the end of the workshop at the Holiday Inn.
She represented the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation while 13 were from the Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, one from Office of the Prime Minister, one from Commissioner Western Office, one from the Ministry of Local Government, one from Ministry of Economy, one from Ministry of Health, one from Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism and one from the Ministry of Civil Service.
The workshop was organised by the Singapore Mediation Centre and the facilitators from Singapore conducted the workshop.
“I have been working with the Ministry of Women Children and Poverty Alleviation in the corporate sector for the last three years and this was the first time I have attended such training,” Ms Sefeti said.
Ms Sefeti said she looks forward to attend more workshops like this.
“Whatever I have learnt in the workshop and I hope to share it with my colleagues because this was one of the main purposes of the workshop,” she said.
Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Jone Usamate congratulated the participants and reminded them to continue to follow their code of conduct.
