Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa announces the appointment of Francis Lee, as general manager.

Prior to coming to Fiji Mr Lee was the , as general manager of the Hylandia by Shangri-La Hotel in Yunnan, China and was part of the pre-opening team.

He replaces Craig Powell who has taken on a full time role as director of Public Affairs for Fiji Resorts Ltd.

Mr Lee has an extensive international career working for Club Med properties spanning nine  countries including Australia, the Bahamas, China, France, Japan, Maldives, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore.

He has held a number of senior executive roles throughout his career in Southeast Asia, the United States and Europe.

Commenting on his appointment Mr Lee said that he was looking forward to his new role at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa.

“This is my first time in Fiji and I am looking forward to working with the team here on further promoting this beautiful property.

“The location of our property is so unique being a private island but located close to the mainland and my first impression of Fiji is the friendliness of the people,” Mr Lee said.
