Acting Fiji Navy Commander Humphrey Tawake
Republic of the Fiji Military Forces director peacekeeping Commander Humphrey Tawake is now the acting Fiji Navy chief.
He is currently holding the post while Commander John Fox is understood to be in Malaysia undertaking a one-year course.
Well established sources confirmed Commander Tawake’s appointment was made by the RFMF Commander, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto. The military is expected to release a statement on the issue.
It is also understood that Commander Tawake is currently in New York, USA attending a meeting.
Efforts to get comments from Rear Admiral Naupoto and Commander Tawake remained unsuccessful when this edition went to press last night.
