The Max Woodward captained- Hong Kong rugby 7s side are looking forward to today’s scrimmaging session with the Vodafone Fijian 7s team.

This is to prepare them for this weekend’s Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast Sevens tournament to be held at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

Coach Jevon Groves said it is all about learning especially from the Olympic gold medallists.

“It’s going to be an amazing experience for these guys,” he said.

“Hopefully they learn from them and how to perform at the highest level and also win competitions. This is something we haven’t done so well when those big competitions come by.”

They are in Pool C in the Coral Coast Sevens alongside Wardens, Naviti Ratu Filise and debutant Coastline Roos.

The Hong Kong side arrived without Fiji-born Tomasi Lawa who was dropped from the squad but making the team is exciting newcomer Jason Jeyam.
