FBC To Air New News Bulletin

The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation will have a newly improved news bulletin from next Monday.
This was outlined yesterday by the chief executive of the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
“As promised last year, we are now ready to increase our news time because of demands made by the public of Fiji as they want a slightly longer news segment. So our news will run from 7pm to 7.45 pm,” said Mr Sayed-Khaiyum.
He said, the segments in the 45 minutes bulletin included: Business Report, Growing Fiji, Play of the Day, New Media, Fijian Pulse, The World of the Weird and Wonderful; and Shock of the Day.
“The new news from next week will have a new set. It’s going to have new colour, new types of animation, new graphics and crossovers from our Western and Northern reporters on a live basis,” he said.
He said the preparations for the new bulletin had been a year-long process.
Faces that will continue to feature are: Jacquee Speight, Jamie Toro, Rachael Nath and Angelita Sharma.
“It’s going to be exciting and we have shown a glimpse of it in our promos and billboards leading up to the 23rd on Monday,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
