Victorious First Light Taveuni playmaker Lemeki Tulele was over the moon as he led his team to defy all odds at Lawaqa Park yesterday.

The 28-year-old Qeleni, Taveuni native also walked away with the Campese-Serevi Medal for being the best player in the 2017 Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s.

“I am really happy to get this medal, it is a double celebration for me,” he said.

“I want to represent Fiji in future and make the people of Taveuni proud.”

He said they will return home on Tuesday and focus on the upcoming tournaments.

“We will try to compete in some tournaments in Taveuni just to maintain the momentum and stay fit.

“We will definitely come back here and defend our title next year,” he said.
