You now have the chance to win a free extra Monday movie ticket when you buy any Colgate toothpaste.

“If a person on a Monday buys a movie ticket and brings a cardboard packet of Colgate then they will receive a ticket of equal or lesser value. It is just on Mondays,” said Alex Opie, general manager of Colgate-Palmolive (Fiji) Limited, during the promotion launch at Damodar City on Monday.

The promotion started on Monday and will run until April. It is valid only for Village 4 and Village 6 cinemas, and Cinemas 2 and 3 at Damodar City, Grantham Rd, Suva. It does not include VMax and Premium.

The free Monday movie ticket is only valid on the Monday when the ticket is issued.

The promotion will not apply to public holidays or if a public holiday falls on a Monday.

The free movie ticket promotion is a partnership between Damodar and Colgate that started 17 years ago, according to Mr Opie.

“About 10 years ago in Fiji we started with Monday movies and it was done by buying a particular packet of Colgate toothpaste to get a free Monday movie ticket. Going forward this year, it is any Colgate toothpaste for the price of a potential free ticket on Mondays,” he said.

Any Colgate toothpaste qualifies for a Damodar Monday Movies.

“The promotion was launched a few days ago and the response has been amazing in just two days with 3000 Facebook likes with a couple of hundred shares,” he said.

The commercial of the promotion will be aired on television next week.

“We are very excited to be launching this in Fiji and it is about helping people get more entertainment and making it more affordable to people,” he said.

“After April, we will quench the numbers and see if the promotion worked. It is a little bit complex but we will get there,” he said.
