Chinese New Year A Hit In Nadi

The Chinese New Year celebration was a hit at the Jack’s of Fiji outlet in Nadi on Wednesday night.
Jack’s Group of Companies brands and public relations officer Roneel Singh was overwhelmed with the annual event.
This year marks the Year of the Rooster in Chinese calendar.
Mr Singh said: “It was thrilling to be part of a something such as the Chinese New Year celebrations, with the Jack’s family learning more about Chinese culture and what they signify.”
He said it was an event for staff members to get closer with members of the Chinese community, who play significant roles in our economy.
“The celebration was a success. With our attractive price points, it was a win for our Chinese customers who did purchase a considerable amount of our quality products.”
He said customers enjoyed the friendly service and the entertainment provided by Polynesian dance groups and also refreshments.
A similar fashion event was held at Suva outlet.
Meanwhile, Courts Lautoka is expecting to come alive today at 2pm, to also play host to the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Courts Sales and Marketing Officer-SPBD Operations, Bimlesh Prasad, said it will be an afternoon full of entertainment in the Sugar city.
He added there will be traditional Lion Dance and Taiko Drumming as part of the event.
