During the final stop of his two-day tour of Kadavu, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned a new Early Childhood Care and Education classroom and village footpath for the people of Natumua Village.

Government provided funding of $25,000 towards the construction of the new classroom, with the remaining funds being raised by the village.

Villagers also sourced the timber used to complete the classroom’s construction.

Government provided additional funding of $7897 to complete construction of the village footpath.

“I firmly believe in the importance of keeping our ears to the ground and engaging with communities at the grassroots level to find ways to work with our people and bring positive developments into their lives.”
