Crew members of the USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) played a friendly match with combined Republic of Fiji Military Forces and Fiji Police Force team at Nasova, Suva yesterday.

Fiji Police deputy director operations Livai Driu said this was part of building cooperation between the two countries.

“This is just a way to know each other and strengthening ties through sports,” Driu said.

The USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) Commander Robert Heely Jnr applauded the initiative.

“The fun part is the partnership and the friendship that the two teams enjoy,” Commander Heely said.
