Nawai Primed For Nereo

Undefeated middleweight boxer Siliveni Nawai is ready to face Nereo Cakautini in the Kiran Boxing Promotion programme main bout at Prince Charles Park, Nadi on February 11.
Nawai, 22, rated his opponent as a seasoned and an experienced boxer.
“I can’t wait to face my opponent who is an experienced boxer,” Nawai said.
“I just want to get it over with as I’ve been training very hard.”
Tubenasolo, Nawaka native has been training away from home for the past few weeks.
“Nereo is an experienced boxer but this is my first appearance in the main bout,” he said.
He will be banking on the support of his family and the people of Nadi.
“I thank the promoter for giving me this opportunity.
His last fight was a KO victory over Kunal Nair last December. He had also beaten Nair in his professional debut in 2011.
He has defeated 2003 Pacific Games gold medallist Osea Nakanacagi (2015), Wahid Khan (2015), and Pacific Games silver medallist Meli Vutevute (2012).
Meanwhile, Cakautini, 42, has fought 25 fights – won 10 (7 KO), and 13 loss and two draws.
