Navy, Vunitavola Draw in Final

The final of the Rewa 10s tournament saw Navy held to a 10-10 draw by Vunitavola at Burebasaga yesterday.
Vunitavola 10s manager Robert Silatolu said Navy gave them a tough game.
“We learned a lot from them but hats off to the boys for their tremendous effort,” he said.
“We had six young players who showed their talents today and I’m happy with their performance.
“They have been training from last year and some of these young players are part of the Yamacia and Uluinakau sevens teams.
“Some of the areas that we will focus on are on our defence and how to make use of possession.”
Tournament secretary Petero Kaveni said the turnout was amazing.
“We will try to pick the squad for the Vanua Trophy formally known as the B Division and selection will be done by our coach Ro Alifereti Doviverata,” Kaveni said.
Vunitavola beat Gonetoga 12-0 in the semifinal while Navy defeated Nakelo 10-0.
