Nakelo native Josaia Taka could not believe that he drove away with an amazing Volkswagen Tiguan with $1000 worth of fuel yesterday after winning the Vinod Patel Home and Living ‘Sega na Leqa draw’ in Nadi.

The joiner was busy completing his home renovations with his family in Sabeto after his name was announced by the Minister for Local Government, Housing and Environment Praveen Bala alongside Miss South Pacific Anne Dunn.

“I was surprised to receive the call but I was sure that I did drop a few entries in the bin last year,” Mr Taka said.

He spent $1249 on a home theatre system with a television set last year.

“I thank God for making this happen and anyone can be winner too, they just need to have faith and will win one day like myself.

“I will keep this car for our family rides and my wife loves it as well.”

The competition was part of last year’s Christmas promotion.

Mr Bala said this was a great promotion organised by Home and Living.

“Someone’s life today will be helped by Home and Living,” he said.

“Those that will be lucky are those that have done their shopping with Home and Living.”

“This is a start and can be an annual event as many Fijians shop at Home and Living.”

Home and Living general manager Sanjeev Mudaliar urged people to also participate in the Valentines promotion which is still yet to be won.
