Waqalevu wants to be a good leader

Moce native Adreu Waqalevu wants to be a good leader as the headboy of Nabua Primary School.
“We have always made sure we did our very best to make sure our juniors follow the right path in school,” the 14-year-old said.
“With the badge on our uniforms, we have taken the responsibility to provide the best we can so our juniors are on the right track.
“We have to make sure that we be neutral in making decisions.”
Thirteen-year-old Sandra Smith was badged as the school’s headgirl among 60 other prefects during their prefect induction ceremony at the school on Friday.
Sandra, of Nakasaleka, Kadavu, said her role as a leader would provide the ability to make fair decisions.
“We as leaders have to be very vigilant of what decisions we make,” she said.
“We have to make sure that we don’t take sides of our friends whether their doings are right or wrong.
“But it is upon us on how we set the examples for others to follow us.”
