The driver of a Government vehicle (pictured above, right) that went off the road at Colo-i-Suva yesterday will have some explaining to do to his or her superiors.

It was hard to see from the road the name of the department or agency on the side of the vehicle. A piece of paper was stuck over it. Questions are already being asked.

What a relief for teacher!

A teacher has probably earned the distinction of exhausting all the disciplinary procedures.

His alleged offence was instituting corporal punishment in school.

He was suspended then terminated. Then he was re-employed at a lower scale than previously. His case went through another review. His only recourse was to take the matter to the Employment Relations Court. The Ministry of Education said enough was enough and withdrew the case to the teacher’s relief.

Students sit exams

Nine nursing graduates have been able to sit the Nursing Registration today, to get their registration certificate. Thanks to Coconut Wireless the relevant authorities acted.
