A Savusavu man charged with one count of rape was further remanded in custody yesterday by the Labasa Magistrates Court. The case was also transferred to the High Court of Labasa by Magistrate Jeremaia Savou.
Magistrate Savou told the accused that this was an indictable offence, therefore the case would go to the High Court.
The details of the charge were not read in court and the accused was told reappear on February 20.
