ANZ revealed a Fashion ATM at its TappooCity branch in Suva featuring local designer Robert Kennedy’s print from his recent “Baravi” (Fijian for coastline) collection.

This is the third in a series of Fashion ATMs being revealed across the country under a partnership between ANZ and the Fashion Council of Fiji to help connect local designers to business opportunities.

Award-winning Mr Kennedy, who is from Sigatoka, Nadroga, said the print featured on the ANZ Fashion ATM was inspired by the beach and sea where he lives on Fiji’s Coral Coast.

“The print depicts items you can find on the beach at home, such as shells, coral and seaweed, and is also reminiscent of art by early European explorers into the Pacific during the 18th Century,” Mr Kennedy explained.

Mr Kennedy studied textile design at RMIT, Melbourne, Australia, and returned to Fiji in 2002.

He launched a kaftan collection sold exclusively through Tappoo.
