Support for LGBT
An interested observer has told Coconut Wireless that people should not discriminate against members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) community.
He says we do not frown upon atheists (those who do not believe in God) so why should we hate LGBT people?
He says: “The Constitution guarantees equal rights for all citizens irrespective of their differences and backgrounds. Freedom of choice and expressions are an integral part of this freedom. People’s sexual orientation expression emanates from this freedom. So people should not be offended by the LGBT expressions which are lawful.
We now live in an inclusive society which outlaws this kind of discriminatory behaviour.
Even prisoners are now offered a lifeline after they serve their term through the Yellow Ribbon programme which facilitates their social integration on their return to their community.
If we can easily do that why can’t we treat our LGBT brothers and sisters with respect and dignity when they have not done anything wrong ”CW says Amen to that.
