Masivesi Dakuwaqa aims to win his spot back in the third leg of the World Sevens Series in Las Vegas and Vancouver next month.

The Moala, Lau native declared his intention last night after being named in the extended squad.

“I missed the Wellington and Sydney 7s after I was injured at the Cape Town 7s,”Dakuwaqa said.

“I’ve been on rehabilitation programme for three weeks.

“During my rehab I put on weight and weighed 118kg.

“But I continued to train hard and now I weighed 100kg and I’m very happy that I have achieved my target.”

Dubbed as ‘Sharkie’, he was grateful of being included in the 23-member squad.

“I’m happy that I’m in the squad again and I’m prepared to fight my way back into the team.”

Meanwhile, the squad will march into camp at the Uprising Resort on Monday.

All Suva players to be at Rugby House at 2pm and all western reps will be picked up from Tappoos Nadi at 2pm.

The Las Vegas 7s is on March 3-5 and  Vancouver 7s on March 11-12.
